How Can We Help?
How do I make Friends?
There are 3 different ways you can make friends on Aloe
1. Through profiles:
Scroll through profiles of people who live nearby you. Filter search by gender, distance, interests and/or organization. Scroll to the bottom of a person's profile to select an in-person activity you'd like to do together and start a conversation. Then, click on connect. Once they reply, you will become friends and you'll be able to see their hubs, profile etc. Get to know them better before meeting them in an in-person public setting.
2. Through organizations or businesses:
If your organization or business is on Aloe and you are a member in that group, you can connect with anyone else in the group either by reaching out to new members directly through the organization's profile or by joining a conversation in one of the organization's hubs.
3. Through hubs:
If you are friends with multiple Aloe members, your chance for finding a new friend exponentially increases, as the more friends you have on Aloe, the more hubs you get to see. Granting you access to more hub conversations where you can find people similar to you and connect with them.
What are hubs?
Hubs are themed chat groups where you can bond with others over events, activities, interests, recommendations ideas, sports, travel plans, future goals, etc. to help you get to know someone better, serve as a conversation starter and to help you find others similar to you.
What does "saving" a user's profile do?
Keep a record of potential new friends by Saving a user's profiles while browsing. Once you're done, you can go to your Saved tab and see your own curated list of potential friends. Here, you can either continue filtering through the profiles and un-save the ones you are no longer interested in or you can keep the list for as long as you want for future reference.
Where can I safely meet new friends in-person?
We ask you to meet your new friend in a public setting ONLY.
Some of our suggestions include cafés, restaurants, bars, parks, museums, sporting events, organization or business events, festivals or fairs, etc.
Use of our Aloe services as well as meeting in-person with other Aloe Members is at your own risk. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. ALOE, LLC is not responsible for the conduct of any user and we do not routinely conduct background checks. Though we try to maintain a vetted and safe environment, we ask our users to take safety precautions before meeting.

Why do I need to fill out a questionnaire to Sign Up?
To make the most of your experience on Aloe, we first need a little information about you to help build your profile so others can see who you are and get to know you better before connecting and meeting with you in-person. In the same way, this also helps you get to know someone else better on Aloe before deciding to connect with them.
